when, while, as, as soon as, since引导的时间状语从句
(1) when 引导的时间状语从句
when意为当…时候, when既可以接延续性动词,也可以接瞬间动词,动作可以同时发生,也可以先后发生.
She was cooking when someone knocked at the door. (先后发生, 瞬间动词)
当某人在敲门的时候,她正在做饭.
My father was reading a newspaper when I was sleeping. (同时发生,延续性动词)
当我在睡觉时,我的父亲在读报纸.
(2) while引导的时间状语从句
while意为当…时候, while引导的时间状语从句谓语动词必须是延续性的.
He often went to the concert while he stayed in Berlin.
他在柏林时,经常去听音乐会.
(3) as引导的时间状语从句
as引导的时间状语从句意为当…时或一边…一边…,强调主句和从句的动作同时发生.
As the children walked along the lake, they sang happily.
孩子们一边沿着湖走,一边愉快地唱歌.
As he was a child, he begun to learn to play the piano.
当他还是个孩子的时候,他就开始学习弹钢琴了.
(4) until引导的时间状语从句
until意为到…为止,连接延续性动词,not…until… 意为直到…才,谓语动词用非延续性动词.

他们一直工作到天黑.
I didn’t go to bed until she came back.
直到她回来我才睡觉.
(5) as soon as引导的时间状语从句
as soon as意为一…就…,主将从现(主句用将来时,从句用一般现在时)
I’ll come to see you as soon as I arrive there.
我一到那儿就来看你.
(6) since引导的时间状语从句
since引导的时间状语从句意为自从……
I haven’t heard from my friend since I went to Dalian.
自从我去了大连就没有收到朋友的来信.
